    1. Are they any wider than stock? (Cover tires more?)
    2. Are they any shorter than stock? (Provide more travel?)

Nice looking truck, I've been looking into doing this too. Quick question, what "Toyota" emblem did you use for your front grill? Is it the FJ cruiser? What year and part number please?

I did mine too! Yours looks like my silver counterpart!

To answer some of the questions:

    1. Yes the stick out anout an inch and a half to two inches more and cover the wheels better when you have a higher offset rim.
    2. They are not shorter than stock. They are about the same. But you should hit bump stop before hitting the flare. I had to do a CMC, roll fender corner a little and trim the corner of the BW's to remedy rubbing issues.
    3. That is an FJ emblem on his front grill. Don't know the model # but Alvin there's a couple local guys that have them as well that can get that info for you if WHT.RUS doesn't provide that for you.
    4. They only come unfinished and not color matched. So any 2nd gens that have color were painted.
    5. Kepp in mind that the stock mudflaps dont wok with these. So you'll have to get aftermarket flaps.
Here's a couple shots of mine.

Looks like Vanguard provided all the info. The emblem is an fj cruiser emblem, but I have no idea what part number it is.

Look nice minus the exposed "bolt" head look. Oh qawd that part looks terrible.

I'd buy a set if it wasn't for that. With my new Rims and tires I'm slinging crap up the side of the my truck, and that extra width would be nice, but not worth that look, I have a set of wider mud flaps to put on.

Question for ya. I've heard that the bushwackers only give you an additional 1/4" or so compared to stock fender flares. Are the numbers you are listing just how much stick out is added compared to running no flares at all?

Here's stock flares and my wheels. I'll have to take another pic of my front with my BW's later to compare. But in Hawaii we have what's called recon, where you have to get your veicle inspected anytime you make modifications. And covering the tread of your tires that touches the ground is a requirement. With my BW's the fronts pretty much cover any tread that you see exposed in this pic. And, I'm only talking about the highest point of the fender flare. Also the front BW's stick out more than the back BW's. Or is it the other way around...? I don't remember. I'll measure tomorroe. But they do add a different amount.

Interesting, currently my front wheels hit the fenders not bumpstops when I turn hard up hills. Maybe it's actually the frame, I didn't do the CMC.

Sorry I was assuming that with the larger tire diameter that everyone is upgrading their bumpstops. You should be able to see fresh rub marks where ever it may be. But, not everyone needs to do the CMC. I didn't need it when I had my FJ rims with these same tires. And, none of my buddies with FJ's need to either. They're the perfect width and offset for 285's. So, you're golden. I like the way yours looks too. The offset of the SCS's put me over the edge and then I needed to do the CMC and trim fender. I kind of miss my FJ's but felt that my longbed needed a little wider stance.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on some of these. I'd love to see that second picture with the BWs on, Vanguard! For those of you who had them painted, how much did you pay to get them color matched? Also, did you have any issues with faded paint where the old flares were, or do the BWs cover that whole area up?
