There a way to disable or bypass the infotainment safety. You can use it while the car is not moving, but one you get moving you cant. For example, add a phone via bluetooth, unless it was already paired, or type a destination on the navigation. Good idea to keep driver focused but not for passenger. Other day friend wanted to pair phone but truck said no because we were moving. Or type in an address as I was driving and still nope. 2017 trd off road

Yes, search for navigation Override. You put a switch on pin 17 (that's from memory, so check around).

When I installed my anytime backup camera and front camera, I also did the nav override switch..

I bought a kit from anytimebackupcamera.com when I did this,, and I think he now sells the option to include the nav override.

    Order one of these

Then, if you don't feel like cutting into the factory head unit harness, order one of these

Cut wire 17 and pipe it to the switch. When your friend wants to take over the audio (proceed with caution), or your passenger wants to type stuff in, just hit the switch and the truck think's your're parked! Bingo bango bongo, you're ridin' dirty.

As a side note, I turned mine off and forgot to re-enable it... for the last six months... Now, I've heard mixed reports where the GPS won't update your location and stuff, so your mileage may vary on that part.
