so where the camper meets the rear glass of the truck . Is it possible to remove each of the glass windows and put a boot and have a secure connection ?

That's old school. I've thought about this too. I'm sure it's possible.

Might what to put your question in the title of your post. "Camper" is a little vague.

Anything is possible, however they do still sell them like that as well. Might be able to score some parts for one depending on your model? Im assuming you are aware of the con's of that design though?

During flex, it'll have a less then optimal seal, and it will eventually rub through the paint. Both are minor depending on your uses. I like em, theyre old school as previous mentioned.

Back in the 70's - 80's, you could do that with a device called a "doughnut" that you could buy. Looked kind of like an oval-shaped inner-tube that you put in between the camper & the back of the cab, around the window openings, then inflate it.

My snugtop has an accordian boot. Truck still has rear window, snugtop has no front window.

As far as I know it is the dealer installed supersport.

My dad had a setup like this for a while back in the 80's on the 82 longbed he bought new. It was LOUD.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
I actually did on a couple of my trucks back in the early 80's. One, removed the truck and topper windows, made a "boot" from vinyl and pipe insulation. Second, actually cut the rear of cab and front of bed to make van like crawl through. That was many moons ago, wonder if they're still rolling.

One Company Leer, Are, I don't know has them. I asked about it on here & got about the same results you got.

    They were popular pre suv.

I bet 10 minutes and pool noodles will get the job done for less than $5.

Those made it nice to lock my longer surfboards inside the camper/cab - a 6' bed doesn't hold much surfboard.
My 82 Hilux 4x4 had a rubber flange from the shell to the rear of the cab - it did rub a lot of paint off the cab - sure liked having the two compartments connected
With the rear window removed, a vinyl padded 'boot' covered the raw metal edges...

I rather the idea of the rubber boot. A member is correct about flexing, it will crack. I'm sure they make rubber seals to last a while, doesn't look like it will be hard to replace either. Just unscrew clamps and slide backwards enough to replace.
