    Hello,

I have been going back and forth with a decision regarding a camper shell for my 2011 extended cab full bed tacoma. Although it is rather expensive I believe I have settled on the A.R.E. MX camper shell with walk in door. The minimum height for this shell is 26". If I remember correctly the Tacoma has a height (above rail) is 23". As I surf all the time I would like to add a rack on top but I feel that the rack (possibly with a basket) combined with surfboards will be to high from the roof of my truck. A.R.E suggest the Yakima Control towers and the ALUrack. Because I surf longboards I am leaning towards the Alurack ladder rack except for the problem of height above the roofline. Also, I have the extended cab and thought about a roof rack on the front but this seems to be a tough option. I know at least two other people on this site have the MX and walk in door so I wanted to ask for opinions.

    my questions are as follows:

    1. Does anyone have experience with the setup i mentioned above?

    2. What would be some recommendations for a roof rack / basket setup?
