2021 Limited with approx 6K miles. Love the truck so far. My 3rd Taco, 2007 and 2016 prior that kids took from me

iPhone has worked great with both Bluetooth and CarPlay until this week. When using hardwire CarPlay the truck microphone doesn’t work. Audio from callers can be heard over speakers but the audio is thru the phone only. With Bluetooth, all works great. I have rebooted, checked settings, removed phone and added again, tried a different cable, tried a different phone, disconnected battery, etc. Issue remains and repeats.

Anyone else have this issue? Any fixes besides visiting the dealer…which I will do eventually.

I am having this Exact same problem 2021 TRD off-road. When I’m plugged into CarPlay I have to turn my phone to speaker phone and people can hear me through the phone itself but I am completely losing the microphone audio in the vehicle. I have read many articles about how to fix this problem when using Bluetooth because it is a problem connected with the DCM but I am not sure if it’s the same problem when connected through a cable to CarPlay. And it’s very frustrating

Thread resurrection, any traction on this? Happens on my ‘21, but if I unplug CarPlay and switch to Bluetooth all is well. Will mention to dealer at next service.

I want to resurrect one more time…I just bought a 2021 back in January. Everything worked fine until about three weeks ago. Now, no one can hear me through CarPlay whether wired or via Bluetooth. I have also rebooted, reconnected, tried different phones, I’ve even updated the software from Toyota site but nothing has worked. Next I guess I pull out the microphone and see if that went bad. Any ideas?
