Extra leaf in rear springs,heavy duty D rings front of bed bolted to frame

My 08 Tacoma had a total carrying capacity of 1280 lb. according to the door sticker my new 2013 has only 1080 lb. does any one know why that is I want to take my Street Glide to Florida this winter in the back of the truck with me and the bike I will know will be at my limit am planning on installing and extra leaf in the rear springs , the spring guy told me this will give me and extra 800 lb. though about air bags but not sure about them any one have any thoughts on this
