Has anyone thought of creating a computer/tablet sort of deal that would sort of serve as a hub for information and utilities? Not like a touch screen radio. An actual computer with an operating system. I'm thinking something that could do climate control, audio, gps, receive and show live OBDII information. Even possibly connect to a radio and form a sort of a local network with similar designs. I've been toying around with the idea of trying to make something like this happen.

Yeah somewhat like that. it would be cool to have it interfaced with the onboard computer just to see and be able to interact with that data. I don't know if the android OS would be able to do that exactly. That's why I'm thinking like a windows 8.1 embedded operating system would be perfect. No telemetry and windows adware. Just straight up operating system.
