Changing Frequency

I got my system installed the other day. I want to fine tune it. I got the JL Audio component speakers that Marv recommended and an pioneer shallow mount sub. My HU is an Alpine 9886. How do I change the frequency on individual components from my HU? Is it possible to change the freuency to the sub, the mids, tweets? I can change the Sub lvl and bass and treble level but Id like to fine tune the HZ.

how did you do it, i would have thought you needed an equalizer/processor

 

I read the manual

First time I missed it then I found it. You gotta press the the button on the far right (forgot what its called but its the only button on the right), then you select either Sub, Bass, Treble, press ENT. Once you press enter you will see something like +5 for the level and then 10hz or whatever the frequency is at. To change the frequency you press "Source" which is the only damn button I didnt press when I was trying to wing it figuiring it out. Its got like 4 or so different preset frequencies one can choose from. Hope that helps.

At work we use alot of tech manuals in PDF format on the LAN and search for info so it was easier for me to pull up the manual online in PDF format and use the search function.

I've got the same HU. I copied the parts of the manual that deal with settings and I-pod settings and laminated them. Then I punched a hole in them and put them on a small key ring. I keep that in my console. Comes in handy. Great head unit but a bit complicated for an old guy like me!

 

Quick correction I noticed. Its not the source button its the Band button.
