Not really, I ended up not needing inspection till next year, however I had to renew my registration. This seems to be tight info, word of mouth, who you know kind of thing.

I'm going to post this b/c I want to remind all of us with slightly darker then what NC says is legal tint that it is now a
misdemeanor charge. Which means try and be as polite as possible to the Officer or Trooper you encounter b/c if they
wish they may arrest now on a tint charge, Now the odds of your local magistrate letting this fly is rare but it would suck regardless.

And yes it seems to be "who you know" and such...

I just learned of this change from a LEO friend the other day. As I await getting tint applied to my 2015 Tacoma this coming week. Now I am freaking out inside about how dark I should go and such... At least on the front windows that is.

I'm in Huntersville. The last 2 times I needed inspections, I just rolled both of my windows down before I pulled into the inspection station. The inspector never rolled them up so he never saw the tinted windows. My Tacoma passed both times.
