I am thinking of putting some running boards or something on my 2018 sr5 access cab for the sole purpose of preventing door dings. Is there a cheap way to do this? I don’t need them to function as steps or anything like that.

The 2nd generation black plastic boards are a great option.

I got mine for $100 from a member local to me.

I got the iboard for my access cab and it was less than 200. The one I got was the flat running board kind and it sits one to two inches below the pinch welds. But in terms of preventing door dings, it only prevents small cars and not suvs or trucks.
