Yeah, I loved my sr5, just looked really clean...
But the power seats, the big screen, im dealing with it.....
not a fan of the gay hood scoop, thats my only con really,
I like the clean simple hood....
No reason to get an offroad or even a 4x4 sr5 for my situation....

I ride with my windows down and have noticed a metal chirp when accelerating from 0. It's a very faint click. To me it sounds like it's coming from the right side of the engine bay. I'll have them check at my 10k check up.

Thats exactly what the belt chirp sounds like...
But the chirp im referring to will produce itself just sitting in the garage, not moving.

That noise in the video in very pronounced.
Cant tell if its up front or rear?
Try isolating by taking off with head out window?
Might give you a better idea of where from.

Take it in already, thats annoying as fuck..

i will when i get a chance, but spare time is hard to come by at the moment. at least once i was actually trying to capture it, i realized it is more frequent than i thought - nearly every start from a stop. so i won't tolerate any "unable to replicate issue" lol

Can you get it to do it by revving in neutral? If so, you could poke around the engine bay while somebody revs. Maybe you can find it.

It does sound like a slipping belt to me or failing pulley, but it's hard to tell.

I get it too at startup, almost since day one. It is not as prevelant at the air temps heat up. Will be bringing it in soon.
It is definatly related to the ac compressor operation as i get the chirp when i hit the ac button. I also think my truck turns on the a/c without illuminating the a/c light and i dont use auto air at all, also have it programmed to be off on he app. I have brought the sound up before and its noted in the service records. But i want to diagnose it myself as much as possible before i bring it in.
Im thinking it could just be a out of spec spring in the tensioner assy and/or a bad batch of belts.

youre correct, I made a post about this....
    drives me nuts..
you can have ac off & just in vent mode, & ice cubes are blowing out the vents.
Toyota cycles there ac compressors regardless if your ac is on or off.
