Chrome Delete....??

    2012 DCOR....

    I just finished debadging and it was easy as pie but want to remove the chrome from the tailgate handle as well as the door handles. I believe they are just chrome cladding tapped to the handle. Am I correct in this assumption? Any hints will be appreciated.
    I used a 3M wheel while debadging and it worked a treat....
    It's going to be in the mid 90's today so it's a perfect time for this....

    Forgot to ask it the handles are black underneath or color matched...??

    Don't know if they are cladding or not, but interested to know.

    If they are 'solid', I'd consider a swap with the black ones on my '13 access cab.

    Just did the tailgate handle. It's a cladding and the handle underneath is black.
    You'd have to remove the old tape residue and install new
    If I can remove the cladding from the handles without breakage, I'd be happy to ship them to you for free. You'd have to remove the old tape residue and install new 3M tape. I'll let you know how I make out...
