Ok folks, I am a neat freak and can't handle chips and scratches. Has anybody done a clear bra on their 2016? Who did it? Price? And do you like it? I've heard mixed reviews and I'd love to hear some opinions.

From what I've ready on other forums, xpel is the best. A lot better than 3m in the long term.

You can get pre cut packages, or take it to closest dealer and let the professionals handle it. I know my next truck will be getting xpel applied to the front/mirrors for sure. Colour matched looks cool, but doesn't stand up like chromed steel.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
I'm going to get a kit for mine shortly... Haven't decided which brand but want to cover up the virgin paint before it gets dinged.

IIRC, there was a member who spent $6000 to clear bra his entire inferno colored truck.

Ive had the 3m on my last 2 trucks and had the dealer put it on the new truck i p/u tomorrow. I can post pics if you like?
    Typically 2 packages from toyota,
The 18" package which is 18" on the hood plus mirrors small bits on the fenders and the door pockets. Or the 24" package which covers the above excpet 24" on the hood instead of 18" and the entire front bumper plus headlights. I got the 24" package for the price of the 18", here in canada it is 700$

The removal of a 3m clear bra is a fucking night mare and pulled the paint and the aluminum hood up when removing leaving a crease on my 2015 Nismo 370. I then sprayed my z with clear plasti dip easy as hell to do with proper sprayer dont use spray cans buy it in gallon online . I will be shooting my taco in the spring.Mac

Was planning to do that out of the gate, but extras that were supposed to have been negotiated by the "broker" weren't honoured by the dealer...so I have a package by a local guy that will be about $700 for:
    Half Hood
    Fenders & Mirrors
    A Pillars, Roofline
    Front Bumper
    Headlamps

    Decent deal for Canada Broccoli?

No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
I have it and like it. truck is an ’07 but got it in May of ’11 and few weeks later went back to dealer and had it done.(from toyota) one thing i love is to get bugs off i just use the tire brush and scrub them off. lol

only down side is i kinda scrapped like a 6x6 wooden post with the bumper and messed it up.(was a short post i failed to see)

edit other than my fuck up it’s holding up great and no problems.

As far as standalone shops the amount of product you are getting for that 700$ sounds like a great deal, id be more concerned with the install/materials.
Does the shop have good reveiws and what product do they use?

My brother is in the local Porsche club and he said a few members got theirs done by this guy and thought the work was good - apparently he uses a Kodak film of some sort. Think it's called Llumar.

My bro suggested that if I got this done, that I get the whole hood done.

    Thoughts everyone?

yes 6 coats sprayed will make for easy removal. If you are going with clear bra don't use 3m, no one is going to want to remove it for you. Mac

Thanks, I was liking for a dealership in BC that does it, none on the island do.

I have a really good friend that will do my ENTIRE truck for $2300 ! What a bargain considering what other places charge around here . Still 2 G's is something so I'm still debating right now . I want to lift my taco and buy tires first and foremost. I could get both the lift and tires for that price too, maybe even less .
