i know this might come up a lot on the forum, but recently i have gotten the p0302 code i replaced my spark plugs and plug (atleast thats what i think its called, its what goes on top of the spark plug since i dont have wires) i also cleaned my MAF sensor. I cleared the code but it returned today after driving a few miles. Any one have any idea of what it might be. The truck does not feel sluggish at all. Any advice/help is greatly appreciated

Possibly a faulty coil pack, switch #2 cylinder coil with another cylinder and see if the misfire moves to that cylinder. If the misfire moved then you have a bad coil. If the misfire did not move then it's another issue with cyl #2, maybe a injector issue.

The coil pack is brand new and so is the spark plug.

I just got a PO 300 and 304 code read after limping home 340 miles in pouring rain
    98 3rz 4cyl with coil packs
it started as a barely noticable miss at random then turned into a sputter at lower rpms, then the check engine light came on
    seemed almost like fuel starvation
I saw nothing obvious under the hood so i kept going too far to get tow found a spot at highrpm that would run smooth and tried to hold it there between all the damn trucks and cars in a race in pouring rain
by the time i got back it was as if on two cylinders
i guess i will throw a fuel filter and plug wires at it and check the coil packs tomorrow,

    I fixed it
turned out to be the #4 plug cap,Check engine light pointed right at it in this case
It looks like there was a hole blown through between the rubber boot and plastic and jumping
there was white chalky powder on the plastic
aftermarket wires about 2 years old
I replaced with aftermarket ones from o realys but will consider getting OEM or replacing more often
when I was on the road in the pouring rain, I actually got out and pulled the #4, no change, put it back, pulled #1, no noticable change, so I figured that wasnt it
went to the auto parts store on the way home from work to get a coil pack and wires and went to change the wires out in the lot and found the #4bad
no signs of moisture or oil in there
took the coil pack back in and got refund
