    Hey guys, i am wanting a little more bass in my second gen double cab. Im wanting a sub that is hidden, and im not really wanted to do much modification behind my back seat to fit a box. Are there any good sounding powered subs that could go under a seat or fit behind the back seat. Im not looking to be bumping, i just want to add some bass for good listening.

    Also been looking into these as well as a compact amp for the speakers. Crutchfield had a decent selection, just need to measure the clearance under the seats. I know a couple guys flipped the bar under the seat for my clearance without any known issues.

It adds just the right amount of extra help and all i had to sacrafice was the space under my passenger seat. In my 20's I had giant sub boxes filling any and all space in my vehicles, but at this point I'm very content with a little xtra thump and having most of my space. It's not going to blow your doors off but it does pack a nice little punch in a nice little space. Install was pretty easy. I'm all factory so I just tapped into my oem high output. Some day I might add an aftermarket Nav HU and redo the Kicker using the rca outputs but I like the look of stock stuff and am not in a hurry to shell out the big money to get a decent HU. I say go for it op.

    The Kicker Hide Away comes with a remote(wired) gain control knob. I mounted mine in my centerconsole. Easy access when I want and I don't have yet another gadget to look at nor do potential thieves.

    Radio On Mod, Complete new stereo with 10" subs, Truxedo bed cover, GT-MAT through doors and rear cab.
    You can see where I put my bass knob on my build thread below. Easy to access, but very un-noticable to others.

    Is 125 watts RMS vs 150 for the Kicker, but it's pretty much half the price. Both come with an amp wiring kit too

    I know I'm a little late but in case anyone stumbles upon this thread in the future, this is what I've got.

    I bought a Dual ALB10. It's a 10" Dual subwoofer with a built in 300w amp (more like 200w max, 100w rms..probably). It actually sounds really good for the price. It was $100 plus a wiring kit which was about another $25. Easy to install, compact, and fits behind my seat. It won't rattle my mirror off, or shake the car next to me, but that's not what I wanted. With my JVC KD-S39, Sony Xplod speakers, and this, I have a decent sound system for under $250. Not too bad in my eyes! :)

    I've got a Soundstream USB-8A 8" Powered Subwoofer under my 2013 Taco passenger seat. Works fine.
