I did have to drill into it for where I wanted it. But you could potentially line it up with the existing mounts if you go about an inch left. I also did have to drill and dremel a slot and rubber trim piece to do the wires underneath the wire cover. I went all ocd and wanted it clean.

I can't bring myself to drilling visible holes into my trucks interior so here is how I mounted my Yaesu FTM-6000 face plate. I still need to clean up the bracket and give it a shot of paint but you get the idea.

How did you run the coax off the roof? I want to mount 2/70 and GMRS antennas just like this. Haven't decided fore or aft and have no clue how to cleanly get the cables down. Through the door opening sounds hokey. Down the windshield sounds like a maybe? Post up some pics if you can.

Run the cable behind the back seat, through the back wall of the cab, and up to the rack?

I was hoping to avoid that by using the windshield channels to hide the coax, but maybe it's not possible.

Yea - you should be able to tuck the coax in with the windshield trim ( I went down the drivers side) then ran across the firewall and entered the cab by the AC drain hose that's located in the upper portion of the passenger floor board.

I did have issues with the wire coming out of the channel after a few months but I used a decal adhesive (just a tiny bit) and its been out of sight and out of mind.

Thanks, Tate. After checking my SWR with it mounted on the rack, I ended up mounting the antennas down in the ditch light position with Victory 4x4 brackets. I'm not sure if my rack isn't grounded well enough or my antenna wasn't grounded good enough to the rack or what. The ditch light position is a much better SWR than I had, but a serious compromise for sure. Good to know the windshield will work if I ever figure it out
