Anyone know what the connection is for? Installed a new head unit and it does not have a port for it.

    Thanks,
    Theo

I had a plug left over after installing my new HU. I think those might be steering wheel controls?

EDIT: I think mine was white, but either way I had one left over and lost my steering wheel controls. id look, but I don't have the truck anymore.

Ah... I was hoping for a label or lead initials.
What is currently not working with the new head unit? Do you have steering wheel controls and do they function now?

The new unit is pre wired for the steering wheel controls and they work fine. As far as I know everything else is working tip top.
@JaCado haha I looked for the same thing. I can't believe Toyota used these crappy radios. I installed the unit in September, it came with the harness for the steering wheel control's. Everything seems to be working. I've been removing the unit in and out for couple months now installing USB/HDMI ports around the truck. Everytime I come across that wire it drives me nuts

I think it might be the factory satellite radio connection?
