    Hey everyone.

2012 Tacoma TRD off road with 250k Miles. For the past year or so I've noticed a loud pop any time I turn left or right or sometimes even when slowing down. I jacked up my truck and tried spinning the front wheel. It spun freely for a little bit and then suddenly stopped, almost as if it was caught up on something. So I removed the wheel, and wheel bearing assembly. I tried spinning the cv axle again and it was the same thing. It spun for a little bit and then stopped. Is this a bad cv axle? There is no punctures on the CV boots.

    Sounds likely, yes.

You can buy OEM take-offs from eBay for ~$100 depending on mileage.

^Some aftermarket axles don't have enough angular travel. If you have a Napa in your area check there, people report good results with Napa CV axles.

Napa doesn't have one readily available :(
Probably will buy the autozone HD version and if have trouble with it swap it out for oem down the road.
