    Oh look, another mod....
I have no issues at all with it. I don't understand why people have issues with it? Maybe bad hardware (that happens)? Maybe they didn't read the instructions or expected to much from it? I know it has limitations. E.G. It doesn't post your speed or long/latitude. I'm okay with that.

I also don't need to stream it live from the internet. If I want to watching something, I plug it into my laptop via usb cable and watch the videos (or use the app on my phone, while I sit in my truck). I live in Texas, so it sits in the heat alllllllllllll day. It has never over heated or malfunctioned and runs 7 days a week.

***Edit*** I also want to make it perfectly clear: I'm not recommending what you should or should not buy. I'm just telling you about my experience with a specific product. There are better ones out there, and worse ones out there. I'm giving you my review of my brand/model so you can make an informed decision about it.

I've got a Thinkware in my truck currently; The front camera's video quality is great, but video quality of the rear camera is considerably worse...

I also have not figured out how to change the date and time stamp yet...

I have this one as well and live in Texas. Mines only been on for around 3 months and been great so far but I don’t have as much data or anything else to compare too. Hardwired for parking mode. Not to bad of an install either. Only complaint is that it’s hard to put a visor up on the windshield with it, if your not careful it will move the camera angle.

This came as a Father’s Day gift from my fiancée and I read mixed reviews as well once she got it for me but came highly recommended from my brother in law and all their service vehicles have them so that’s the one she got me.

I got a BlackVue 750x-2CHPlus, and got it wired through the headliner so that I have both front and back cameras. I'm thinking of getting a bed cap and am dreading what it'll take to wire a cameral all the way back there.

Has anyone wired a cam to their shell / cap?

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
Anker Roav checking in here. A little bit larger, and it has front and rear cameras - I also had to be conscious of over-heating here.

Edit to say "rear" camera is a cab-facing camera. So far more taxi cab than road monitoring. That said, I've checked out the videos, and I can clearly see any vehicle coming behind my through the mirror, if I were to be rear ended and needed the footage.

So far so good, also +1 to the Dongar mod, so long as you're willing to give up parking monitoring.

Thanks I’ll probably still get it and ya bring up a good point about sometimes products have bad hardware. I appreciate the quick thoughts on it.

I used to have a different cam, but to wire it I actually ran some 16g wire from under the hood up into the headliner to power it with a custom 5v power source. When I switched to the BlackVue I just tapped into that power line and then a separate switched power line for the parking mode functionality (specifically, one of the wires that go into the rear-view mirror that is only powered when ignition is on).

Running the cable to the rear for the rear cam was actually quite easy with some fish tape.
