Thanks Joe! I'm leaning towards you guys to build my sliders. I'm hoping to see how far back your sliders go on the DCLB... how close to the rear tire they get. If I'm sliding along a good sized rock, I don't want there to be a big space where the rock would pound onto the truck between the slider and tire. You dig?

I dig jive turkey. The sliders stop right where the fender flair begins.

Call Jerry at BAMF. Here is the link to their DCLB slider page with kickout, filler plate and bolt on options. No problems with mine. The kickout saved me a couple of times. http://www.bayareametalfab.com/2005-to-2015-Toyota-Tacoma-96-Sliders-DCLB_p_8.html

I would definitely recommend Mobtown. Joe has a couple features that no one is using that makes them a step ahead of everyone else. Plus he's a great guy to work with.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
If you ordered today with our current lead time the 2016 DCLB sliders will have been mocked up and the site would be updated before your sliders were complete. We have a customer coming on soon to do the test fitting for the bolt on plates that's the only reason the site has not been updated you can order for a 2016 all you have to do is put it in the notes that you have a 2016. We have a few 2016 DCLB on order at the moment.

I did something unconventional after reading a lot about powder vs. LineX vs paint. The consensus seemed to be cheap black spray paint is the easiest to touch up since the slider will get chipped over time. Powder coat and liner are much harder to repair nicely.

I wanted the texture though, so I bought some fine sugar sand off of Amazon, and some Hammerite Rust Cap black smooth metal finish (best rust preventative paint ever IMO). First I taped all but the top of my sliders. I gave the exposed part a good wet coat, and sprinkled sand from an old salt shaker on until it was nice and even. Then I took off the tape and sprayed about 5 coats of black. I really like the result, but realize it is a bit more than basic DIY.

I ordered the mobtown DCLB sliders. Very easy to deal with and answered all my questions about the DCLB and how it was structurally strengthened, this and that, etc etc. Cant wait to receive them!
