Hey guys, I ordered the new ddmtuning saber led low beams in h11. It was a cheaper but hopefully cost effective similar option to the new 2stroke morimoto bulbs. I should have them today and will get a good write up and thread going.

Also I got the optilux hella yellow h11 for fogs I should be able to get it all installed tonight.

Hope everyone is doing well and thanks for being a part of this I awesome intentional community!

So got the kit in, had to remove front grill and two top screws on headlights plus the clip closest to the grill and then rotate it forward. I like them so far, but I am not sure what orientation the led's should be, you can adjust the diodes to be at whatever position you want i.e. 12/6, or whatever you like.

Looks good! I've always had good luck with DDM tunning products. Currently running their HID kit for low's and LED's in the fog's.

@TALON Thanks man! I need to figure out the orientation of the LED if these don't work out I am going to go HID and move these to fogs. What kit did you get from them for your lows? CANBUS?

I went with the HID because I think the output is better down the road. The LED is brighter up close but I think the distance is better on the HID.
I went with this kit, http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDMPlusHIDKit . Taco doesn't require the canbus set up to work correctly.

I want to try and match this as closely as possible to the LED bulb in my fogs (from DDM as well) and I think it's pretty close. I got the 5500k bulbs but I might switch those out for the 4500k's for more of a true white. Here's a night pic right after the install.

There's also a few other pics of my truck on DDM's facebook page

@TALON Yeah man! That looks great, I agree, I may not keep the LED one possibly may put the kit in my fiancee's car. I think the throw is pretty bad. So we for sure don't need CANBUS? Why are people all buying those kits? Your truck looks awesome brother!

    Thanks dude!
I don't know much about the CANBUS system but I believe it's used with cars that have warning indicator lights for when you have a light/bulb out. As far as the taco goes, I do not believe it has this feature but I could be mistaken. I've ran the HID kit (the same one I linked above) for a few months now with no issues. I was actually thinking about throwing a pair in my fogs as well. Just make sure you get the 35w and not the 55w, I've heard the 55w can damage the reflective material inside the housing over time

Yeah man I totally agree, the 55w are too hot and I don't wanna burn up these billion dollar housings our trucks have. Super excited to get them working. Going on a long trip this weekend so well see how it goes. Have a good rest of your day brother!
