I question the tranny, have an 09 DC TRD sport and the tranny seems to revs and then engages at low speeds? Only 13k miles.

""i've had this every time i back out of my driveway and come up or down the curb, its intermittent, i think thats how you spell it. i have a 3" spacer lift front, and TSB and 1.5 block in back, if i go fast on a speed bump i can bottom out my rear shocks, not that that has anything to do with it, but it might..... its like a rock hitting the undercarriage, muffled, like the sway bar is loose, or one of the bushings..... i dunno, i rechecked all the nuts and bolts i removed or loosend when i put in the lift..... i dont have anything in my skid plate, i just removed it a week or so ago.""

The problem i was countering is that i stretch my shock out too far by extension, you know when after you hit a speed bump and your suspension is rebounding, not bottoming out my suspension by compression, i already have the tsb installed in the back, i think i asked on a few different threads if the billies are longer, and the consensus was that they are about 2" longer to accomodate, but im ditching the lift anyhow, i dont want 3 in front, or 1.5 + tsb in back, i think im gonna go toytech with their coil overs up, and have them dialed in at 1" up front and the back leave stock, im wanting a smoother ride....

6a) Heater Fan ticking noise.. thanks to some of the threads on TW and Toyotanation.com hopefully I will be able to fix it myself.
6b) I hear this clunking noise in the back everytime I hit a bump or pot hole. I feel like it might be the tailgate clunking? It doesn't happen when I start or stop or anything so I don't think it is the driveline problem. I have no clue what it is but I'm leaning towards the tailgate I guess. I have done the tailgate theft mod but that didnt help much. Not sure what to do about it. It drives me absolutely mental, I can always notice it even when my music is turned up.

    6) 1 - that silly gear shift; TSB fixed it. 2 - that blasted buzz from under the passenger dash when accelerating. I've tried to zipline things together but to no avail. 3 - not a "issue" but I'd like if the truck bed wasn't so damned slick. It's already "composite," so couldn't they make it just a touch stickier? Even just in the corners so groceries could be placed there.

I don't have warranty because I bought the truck used from someone. Would an AAL fix the problem?

I drive an 08 access cab 4 cyl auto with 44k miles. At 2000 rpms while parked, during acceleration, right at 40mph, and crusing at 70mph or so, i feel vibrations. Sometimes, enough so, that you can see my left leg shaking.

    6. Intermittent starting where the truck will turn over but not start, has only happend ounce so far but I don't know if it's going to come back or not. There is also a clunking noise coming from underneath the front when Sometimes when I go over bumps kinds like a loose cat sheild noise but it's doesnt make the noise 80% of the time. Other than that it's been fine.

I just purchased a 2010 Tacoma 4WD, short box, double cab, V6, SR package, traction control, backup camera, tow package. It was clicking upon acceleration when I got it. It now is clicking all the time, more so on acceleration. I am trying to work with the dealer & factory service representative. Factory service rep said he will go along with what the service repair says. Service repair says it's normal in Tacomas and consistent. I have checked the lemon laws in our state and will pursue the issue with them if I cannot get this resolved any other way. I will also check with consumer laws as I feel it is consumer deception/lack of disclosure if, as they say, it is consistent and normal then I should have been told and be able to make the decision as to whether I want to purchase and drive such a truck.
Does anyone know of a fix for this?

When I enter the freeway, I always check my speed because the next exit up is a notorius speed trap. As I entered the freeway, I looked down and my speedo said 85. I looked up and everyone was passing me. I seriously thought it was me at first. Then my kids started asking why I was driving soo fast. Problem was I wasn't:cool:. I exited at the next exit and the speedo stopped at 15 mph when I was at a complete stop. I continued on my errand. When I stopped, turned the truck off, and then came back and restarted, the electronics had recalibrated. Took it to the dealer, but they couldn't recreate and they said there are no tech notices on that. That was three weeks ago now and nothing since. Otherwise, I love my truck!

Issues- TSB on the leafs, and had to get the wheels all refinished (warranty) as they began pitting after about 6 months. Also-occasionally won't start(3 or 4 times since new) Have been advised that it has to do with the 10% ethanol in most of the gas up here that can cause a vapor lock. Not a problem....just annoying. also have small cracks developing in the edge of the composite box,l vertically from the tailgate hinge. has to do with inflexability because of my leer topper
