Do any of you know if the whole third members from the front and rear of a 2014 RC 4x4 (2.7) and a 2015 4x4 DCSB TRD Sport (4.0) will interchange?? What I'm thinking is swapping the thirds from the 2014 to the 2015 to get the 4.10 gears in the V6...if it will work. Anybody know??

    I know...that's why I'd like to swap the thirds from the 2.7 4x4 into the V6 cause the 2.7 4x4 has 4.10s

Yeah, no e-locker in either. The idea is to have 4.10s in the DCSB V6 to better turn 33s and have the 3.73 diffs built with 4.56s to turn 33s in the RC4x4. If they will swap, I only have to have one set of thirds built with new gears. Confusing enough?? LOL

The front should work, rear not 100%, check with ECGS they're pretty helpful ... with locker you have to get the whole carrier changed as I understand. Going down the same route but I have factory locker, so waiting on some wrecked Taco's locally to raid, or I might give in and just have ECGS build the 3rds for me ...

they use the same diffs front and rear on all 6 luggers. Outside of the factory elocker diff in the rear of the TRD OR's.

You should be good to swap the 4 bangers diffs in the v6 to get 4.10's and build up the stock diffs out of the v6 for the 4 banger.

    Yup sure can :)

I sure would hate to pay that bill. What's the cost?

I don't know. Haven't talked to them yet. It won't be cheap, I'm sure.

If you have them do the work you wouldn't have to worry about the core charges for the 3.73s ... it is expensive, but well worth it (in my opinion) .. what tire size you are planning to go with?
I drove a friend's Taco with 295/75-16, 4.56, V6/auto.. too revy on the highway... keep us posted with swap

The 14 RC 4x4 has 285/75/16s and will get 4.56s and the 15 DCSB 4x4 will have 305/70-17s and get the 4.10s
Right now, I'm just getting preliminary info. I will get the 15 within the next 2 weeks and start building it with a RCD lift, wheels, tires, and gears. It will be for my son.
