Dome light not working

Have a 2021 tacoma my dome light went out so replaced it but still not working. Has power but seems not to be grounded according to my mechanic at work. Any advice

 

Did you/were you also installing LED bulbs? Lots of posts about shorting out the BCM traces. Dome doesn't have a separate fuse so unless the bulb is bad, I'd say you may have a BCM problem.

Also, double check the switch is not in the off position for the dome.

 

Not sure if ‘21 is like ‘18, but make sure you didn’t turn off the rocker switch (by driver & pax lights on overhead).

 

I see one of your other posts was inquiring about adding additional undercarriage lighting, if you did this, I would start there.
