    I mean, technically you ARE out of warranty on that one... so you can either live with it or you can cut the cats and get them re-coated. Yea it sucks, but they aren't just going to pay for everything out of pocket because you live in a high rust area and 2 years down the road your metal is rusting. You know?

    Actually it is a two year coating warranty, so I don't know by they said I was out of warranty.

    It's literally 2 years today. I don't know man. It still comes back to- they aren't going to pay to have them cut and shipped back and forth.

    I don't see why you can't. At that point they'd have to cut them to recoat, or coat the outside of the cat as well. Their might be restrictions on mailing cats though, not sure...

    Ya, it sucks because I don't buy cheap shit because you either pay now or pay later. With these I have to do both, can't leave these on my truck.

    I have a feeling they just don't want to be responsible for them or it could be something to do with the coating I'm guessing?

    For the record OP, I'm totally on your side on this one, I hope you get this all worked out, I'm looking to but the exact same headers soon....Im just playing devils advocate a bit here due to my pessimism

    What do you mean cut the cats off? How do you have your headers set up, are there cats welded in there? Does that mean you can still pass emissions with them?

    these are the short tube headers. you would cut your old cats off your stock manifold and have them welded on to these headers. long tube headers delete the cats all together

    Awesome, so if I got the short tube headers I would still be able to pass emissions and would not have to get O2 simulators right?

    My first set of DT cracked right down middle in less than a year. Getting Warranty done was ridiculous hassle to get responses out of i believe Nick who was the only one authorized to help. I even offered to drive up and swap there.

    When new ones arrived the collectuon tube was wrong flange spacing dispite tons of conversation on it prior to shipment.

    3+ years later the new ones still look and work fine excwpt ive had reoccuring issues with losing the Donut Gasket between header and collection tube. Done ecerything from grade 8 bolts with double nuts to welding nuts in place. Bolts arnt coming loose or stretching, the flare just doenst hold the gasket and eventually the leak and start to disintegrate.

    Id look.for a different branf if I were to do it again.

    Checking the website it looks like Doug Thorley and JBA make short tubes, I cannot find any short tube ones made by URD. Where are you looking?

    sorry, i been debating with the urd spec u headers. they seem to make good gains through the power band, but they are not carb legal which is a non issue for me
