I've recently purchased Doug Thorley Header THY-590Y-C. They claimed more lower mid range torque because of the Y pipe configuration. The 14 medal gauge tubing was a lot thicker along with better platting than their competitor. Overall much better quality than Ice headers, reused the gaskets, nuts, and studs. Toyota gasket is basically only a thin metal plate. Lube the threads an hour before removal which helped. One additional note they supplied two new bolts/nuts for the header flange, that bolts to your stock exhaust system. Suggest to purchase two large flat washers, to help take up the large diameter hole of where the stock spring flange were. You're not going to use the stock flex springs on the flange, so the hole is going to be fairly big, that's where the flat washers will be used. Installation took about 3.5 hours from start to finished, w/bathroom breaks and looking for flat washers. Very happy with the overall performance, even though I don't live in the mountains I always run the a/c, it did eliminate the flat spot I had with acceleration. When I now go on the highway, the engine doesn't seem to strain at 75 mph. http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com/Exhaust/Doug-Thorley-Header?set-vehicle=1
