Drl switchback help

I installed amber/white switchback led in my drl. However when I release my ebrake the white turns amber on the drl. But when I turn my headlights fully on the amber turns back white and functions properly. My question is how do I keep the drl from turning amber when I release the ebrake ? Any help would be appreciated thanks
