EGR Sensor Removal Help!

My 99 4 cylinder needs a new EGR sensor. How does one uninstall the old EGR sensor? I have the new one ready, however, I can't seem to remove the old one. What is the trick to doing this? Everything seems to be such a tight fit...

Any help would be appreciated.

It's a tight fit because of 13 years of corrosion and heat locking the threads.

Soak in liquid wrench, Deep Creep, and work it with a box wrench if you can get one over the electrical connector, if not, a flare nut wrench... an open end will round it.
If you go with a flare nut wrench, watch the ends closely and if you see them spread, it's getting ready to slip.

When you install the new one, apply antiseize to the threads.


Edit: Could also cut the connector off and use a box wrench, install the new one with an open end.
