What about the navigation? According to the web, you have to then use your phone?

it seems to depend on the head unit. I had a kenwood for about a day and took it back. the Kenwood seemed to give more features then the iLX-F309. I was unaware the techstream software does the same thing. Although i can't say I'm really surprised. I did get Maestro unit with mine, and it gave me most of the existing features but not all of them. Although i do have the Cable for Techstream already from my tundra so its not a big deal for me.

On Navigation, it depends on the head unit. some head units come with embedded navigation. Others do not. The nice thing is the cheaper units rely on maps, google Maps, Waze and some of the other apps. embedded maps will definately drive the cost up at least 200-400 dollars.

UPDATE: Most of the settings are there from the factory system. I think I had the Maestro unit hooked up wrong. Cause I can access all the settings I recall from the factory head unit. I also go the video bypass unit so the video plays when the vehicle is in motion.

I just bought the pioneer 4400nex from Bestbuy at $549 free install. Also bought the maestro to keep steering wheel control and factory settings. Also a front camera. Will post pics once installed on 11/1. Good thing about the pioneer 4400 is that it connects to apple car play wirelessly via WiFi and not Bluetooth

LED lighting so far, more to come
Here is the Head unit installed. I also have JL separates up front, JL 6.5's in the rear door and a JL Stealthbox, powered by JL amps under both seats.

The display is adjustable. I pushed it back one notch and for the most part it is Not Noticeable. might stick out 1/8 of an inch. I also dont have the pocket installed which I should have done.

Reviving an old thread. Curious if there as been any other head units recommended since Entune is practically dying.
