evap problem

oi, got an eng lite on my "09 which the computer (auto zone)says is prompted from evap system. says most likely from bad purge solenoid or the charcoal canister. if any of you fellows have any suggestions that will keep me from being swindled, love to hear from ya. thnx

 

There is a used canister for sale on this site. I bought mine new for $400 when I got the code. Supposedly it's from topping off too much when fueling. Not sure how true that is, but I had a bad habit of pumping as much as I could into the tank so who knows

 

How much off road driving do you do

 

Did they give you the actual code number? It could be as simple as a faulty gas cap, or as expensive as a charcoal canister. The code may steer it one way or another.

when i saw all these codes i thought maybe should buy new truck...WHAT DO U ALL THINK?
