Hey guys I have posted numerous times about my 2023 tacoma v6 having an abnormally strong vibrations coming from the engine while driving and idling. After many trips to the dealer and inspections myself I was gonna give up. Truck has 5k miles on it and today I decided to look at the crank pulley/harmonic balancer as it was the last possible thing I could think of and using a mirror and flashlight I can see the whole rubber ring on the pulley is cracked all over the place. I’m thinking I finally found the problem but then again not sure. Hard to believe the amount of cracking could be normal for a truck with 5k miles. Any thoughts?

Definitely not normal. Take it to a dealership and have them look at it, pointing out what you see. Could be defective compound in the material of the pully ring.
Don’t panic though. If it is that causing the vibration the fix should be as easy as replacing it.

I’m thinking you are right. This has been an issue since driving the truck off the lot back in september. No way should it be cracked like that with 5k miles

If your engine has a vibration at any rpm idling etc. you may have found the issue. Either way it’s not normal and Toyota needs to make it right.

It could be a number of things even something internal.

I’m pretty sure I found the culprit. It’s most of the time rough
