I want to get a new exhaust system for my 2015 Tacoma. I was thinking of getting the TRD catback, but i've read that a lot of people think it sounds annoying. I've yet to hear it in person so I can't really judge it. Others say the Borla. I read that those are ridiculously deep and loud. I'm looking for a nice deep sound without being too loud (i know that most systems provide pretty similar mid gains in HP). Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I was going to go with Borla at first but thought it might be a little too loud. So I ended up getting the TRD catback and haven't regretted it since. I like the deep sound and it's not over done. I don't find it annoying at all. Sounds great when you punch it and mellows out when you let off. Don't notice any drone in the cab.

That's just my opinion though. Sounds a lot better in person too.

Gibson is worth looking in to as well. That's what I have and no regrets here.

It might be generational thing, but it is difficult to get a "nice, deep, performance sound" from 6 cylinders. I tried Borla on my 2011 Camry SE V-6 and it only lasted a couple of months before it went to Craigslist. When you grow old with big Detroit V-8's, (big block G.M. V-8 in my last full size truck, magna flow, stainless headers and duals),...... I now opt for quiet. IMHO - LOL
