Does anyone know if there's a relatively simply way to extend the 2nd gen Tacoma steering wheel? I've used the wheel adjustment to move it out as much as I can, but it still feels quite far away. It also bumps into my thighs constantly.

    Thanks!

    Pull the seat forward?

Tilt the wheel up a bit?

Haha, yes. I have the seat in a comfortable position and have played plenty with the wheel adjustment. But any further back and I'll be fully extending my arm or even reaching for the wheel.

Note the wiper- and turn signal stalk extenders in the last few posts.

What happens when you pull the seat forward till your arms are comfortable?

Yeah, I was just exploring that thread. Seems like it's not worth the effort given the cost and the wiper/turn signal box isn't extend as part of that kit.

oh well, I'll just suffer it.

Then your legroom is cramped. A workaround is bringing the seatback to fully upright position, but that isn't comfortable for your back.

Finally, an advantage to being short beyond being easier to crawl thru attics.
