Made it to Spectacle Island. Handled everything well. Glowing Mirelurk King ended up mutating and I didn't stand a chance.

 

Were you hiding in the tug ?

 

I hid in the tug my first time there, I don't mind admitting

I just used the Fatman in the tug and smoked the mini boss. I always keep a few mini nukes around but rarely use them. It made short work of the situation.

 

Anyone else having bugs more often the more you play? At level 68 now and it's getting to the point where textures won't load period, I went to a quarry and spent about 10 minutes in there without them ever loading, ended up walking off of a cliff because the blurry fake textures extended over the actual edge. Also my guns will just randomly disappear while I'm holding them, I can still shoot but there's no gun on screen. And when I pull up the pip boy it's invisible except for the text. Was never an issue early on but the more I play on this profile the more buggy it gets. Also have 3 or so broken side quests too.

 

What are you playing on again? PC?

Yep, performance is perfect, just the bugs are awful all of a sudden.

 

I hid in the tug, but I didn't get any mirelurk kings iirc. Just a ton of hunters, razorclaws, and a queen. Those queens mean business

 

Did you see the Fatman lying in the tug? Or do you just have no ammo for it?

 

Mine gets buggy inside the main hall of the vault inside that middle school. Vault 71? I don't recall. But it slows down when I enter the main hall of that vault

 

No ammo. Mini nukes sell for good caps!
I just used my sniper and shot gun. I rarely if ever play with the big guns, energy weapons, etc. I'm old school pre-war human. But not melee old school, strictly projectiles. Haha

 

I've always had love for the mini nuke. I can never bring myself to sell them. Yeah it's not impossible to beat those enemies without the Fatman but, like I wrote ages ago, when that shit storm flew out of the water I nuked the shit outta it lol. I knew something was up with the Fatman just laying there.

 

I've encountered 4 queen mirelurks so far and, while quite challenging, I've been able to beat em with rifles. I can see the mininuke being a satisfying means to that end though. Maybe I should try it sometime. I did use the missile launcher on that death claw at the bottom of the hospital that was taken over by raiders. Haha

 

I have to admit the USS constitution was one of my favorite missions to do. Finished that the other day with Hancock and kleo.

 

Is that a side mission or main story? Also who's kleo?
