Assigned guards typically walk around. To be sure go into workshop mode and check his status.

 

I did, and it every time I do it shows him as unassigned, then i assign him to do something, check and it seems to work, then when I come back after a mission the lazy bastard isn't assigned. Lol

 

A lot of my settlers don't go to their assigned shops, crops, guard posts. Frustrating.

Sometimes they even get stuck underneath stairs surrounded by concrete. It's to the point where I might redo my 1st floor at Spectacle Island.

 

Same issues. I try using the stupid bell and they dont all go there either.

 

I really like this game but holy fuck is it annoyingly buggy , in the middle of a huge fight with a bunch of super mutants I got the " no gun damage " glitch where none of your weapons will do any damage at all , pissed me off cause I was trying to run away and the fucking mutant hounds just kept chasing me and I couldn't attack them or fast travel . Then I got the glitch where Strong stays in the down position all the time like he's hurt , plus a million little issues with settlements and crafting .

Beat the main story at lvl 46 with the brotherhood. After logging some 80 hours my save file got corrupted and sent me back to lvl 40 and now won't create a new save on my playthrough.would be so upset if fallout new Vegas hadn't done the exact same thing.

 

Yeah after Fo3 and FoNV I've come to expect stupid fuckery like that. Luckily for me, I haven't had any corrupt save files but I have have tons of little bugs. I swear it's worse since the patch

 

I fear for my Drinking Buddy protectron , after reading he could be killed en route to your settlements last night I went back to where he started his journey and set a marker at Covenant and followed a straight route between the two and never saw him , when I arrived a Covenant , he wasn't there . I'll check back in there later , hopefully he makes it

 

How do you get one of those?

My drinking buddy made it all the way to the Castle with no problems. I knew about him being expendable so I just saved before he set out on his journey.

 

He's in the basement of the Shamrock Taphouse

You need to collect beer recipe holotapes for each beer type he can make too

 

I didn't read about him being expendable till after it was too late

 

I sent him to the rexford, read that taking him for yourself wouldn't complete the quest.

 

I read that too late too but whatever , free beer

 

So , according to that guy's best ending video I posted yesterday and his notes , I can still pull off the everybody happy ending

 

Man I wish .44 Ammo was more available! I'm LVL 12 and have only found like 20 rounds total for my bad ass Dirty Harry pistol.

 

Hit level 32 on a second playthrough and I have officially hit the wall. Waiting for DLC Baby!

 

Everybody can relax , my Drinking Buddy made it safely to Covenant

Also I got Strong's affinity perk too , so the companion perks I have now are Preston , Deacon , Macready , Hancock , Strong , Codsworth , Piper and Cait

 

And you probably still run like a bitch when charred and feral ghouls run after you.
