Fallout 4

There's a point in the game where if you're playing Institute I think, the mayor is outed as a synth, long before you beat the main quest. You can kill him then as well.

 

WELL I GUESS I DON'T HAVE TO KEEP WONDERING WHETHER HE'S ACTUALLY A SYNTH OR NOT

 

Does he get outed if you aren't playing the Institute line?

When the DLC comes out and I light it back up again, I'll have to go pickpocket him, see if he has the synth component on him

 

I didn't know you could get the synth component in pickpocket I assumed you had to kill em first. Iirc after you beat the game (I did with bos) if u return to Diamond city, you and Piper confront him and you have some speech checks with the mayor and things go from there. If u fail a speech check he attacks you.

K you peckers jinxed me , 2 settlement attacks last night . Travelling with Curie now after getting Strong's affinity perk and then working my way through the Vault 81 side quests

 

As a side note , I did an experiment to see if they had fixed the issue with buildings / crafted structures / defenses disappearing from the Southeast corner of the County Crossing settlement building area and it hasn't been fixed . After having multiple buildings and gaurd posts disappear from that corner twice I haven't tried rebuilding anything there but after the most recent patch I built a single ladder section in the very corner of the effected area . It had disappeared the next time I came back .

Not sure why they didn't just integrate all that standard new Vegas survival stuff in the first place...here comes weighted ammo again.

 

So now I'm the leader of the minute men, and the institute and in the railroad and brotherhood of steel. Wtf is going on. I feel like it's time to just stick with one group. Just trying to do as many missions to level up as possible without playing all those repeating quests. What have you guys done?

 

I tried to do that but accidentally went too fall with the brotherhood and got stuck with them. Tread lightly.

 

Not sure what the best route to go is. I think I kinda side with the brotherhood more than anyone (besides the Minutemen) why keep letting synths go into the commonwealth and why support the institute. Maybe I'll just kill them all?

 

Recall, if you will, that while Fallout 3 and the whole new VATS design was all Bethesda, FO:NV was not. It was a west coast studio named Obsidian.

I have no contacts on the inside, but I've heard whispers that there's more than a little rancor from Todd Howards' crew that NV was so much more well received in the long term, and that they're adding in the NV type stuff willingly, but there's some irritation at the same time.

 

Didn't Obsidian make Wasteland and Fury?
Edit: No. And Fury is not the game I'm thinking of... it's another nuclear apocalypse game for ps3 etc... Maybe it was Bethesda that made it. Wtf was that game called!?

Just out of curiosity have you played Rage or Wasteland or Wasteland 2?
I haven't played any of them but am interested to do so. I have read quite a bit about the two Wastelands and a friend of mine had Rage and said it wasn't that good. However Rage is made by Bethesda and has some Fallout easter eggs. I just recently saw that they released wasteland 2 for ps4. I previously read it was going to be PC only.
