Ive gotten pretty good at using the quicksave option for just that reason. Pretty much every encounter now ill quick save before and after it. Im sure its harder to do on consoles though but PC its just press F5.

I worked on the main quest a bit more this morning. Got like 2 missions done in that line but ended up with a ton more side quests to do. So looks like ill be going back to side quests next time i play.

its just a matter of hitting the pause button so its not too bad. At least the game actually pauses. I tend to go into the pip boy and use stimpacks that way since the fighting pauses as well.

Definiely could use a few extra buttons in this particular game. I wouldnt mind if i could swipe the touchpad a certain direction, almost surprised they didnt do that.

The problem with this is you can't remap that key to ANYTHING else no matter what, it's reserved.

So, if you happen to NOT use WASD but the arrow keys to move as the gods intended, and you normally remap sneak and hide and jump as well to work with this....ya know, in EVERY OTHER PC GAME....here you can't do that, because you're now using a stimpack instead of jumping.

Oh, and if you remap your movement keys, now you can't move while you're in workshop mode, because the arrow keys are ALSO reserved for menu navigation and can't be remapped...because 'reserved' again

Fucking Bethesda. GIANT PITA. This is the first game they've done this, and it's literally a large enough hindrance that I'm checking the controls of the next Bethsoft title before I buy it. If they're like this again I'm off the list, even if that means Fallout 5.

Someone mentioned about rebuilding Sanctuary and I just YouTubed a video of it and that looks like a game all in itself. I actually might pick this up just for that.

Granades in this game are fun. Remember, they don't cause a noise from the point of origin. So if you sneak into a raider held building and they are all hanging out in groups, you can basically take them all out without being noticed. It's pretty handy if you have stockpiled a few fragmentation grenades and want to save some precious bullets.

I spent most of yesterday just running around scrapping everything in the town.

I spent an hour or 2 clearing a perimeter and building a junk fence around the whole town
