Finally pulling the trigger......

Hello everyone,

I'm Jay and from Texas. I'm 51 and finally getting into a Tacoma for the first time. I've always been a fan, but never owned one. Just placed a deposit at a local dealer to get myself in line for one when they start producing/delivering the 2022's. I've started small and going to get a white Access Cab SR5 4x4 with the 2.7L engine. I don't do much towing, so I figured this would be plenty. Test drove one, and though it's no speed demon, it did ok. Looking forward to learning new things about Tacomas and potential mods. The only things I'm thinking about doing so far is trying the K&N air filter and adding Weather Tech floor liners and hood protector. We also have 2 German Shepherds, so it will be interesting to see how well they fit (or don't fit) in that back seat area. Also, I've seen that some people have made a sort of doggy platform for use in the back of access cabs. That might also be something I'd be interesting in adding down the line somewhere. Anyway, glad to be here and look forward to speaking to many of you soon.

P.S. - Any idea how long of a wait I may be in for? 2-4 months is what I've heard so far.
