I just got the Torin from Sams a couple of weeks ago. Overall it is ok, but there are two issues.

    1) The jack is difficult to lower slowly, which is a bit of a PITA. You should be able to gently lower the truck, but all I can do with this jack is lower it pretty fast. That's not ideal, so my suggestion would be to take someone with you to HF and have them stand on the jack you are looking at and try lowering it.

    2) The handle needed to be mounted on the jack when I got it. There is a small bolt that captures the jack handle. When I tightened it down with a little tiny 10mm wrench, the head of the bolt snapped right off. I was barely putting pressure on it, so that didn't create a good impression.

One nice feature about the jack is that it has a quick lift foot pedal.

Got one from a local member who had bought it from costco IIRC, but what matters is getting the right jack for your needs the first time, mine is 3.25 Ton that will lift 23.5" vertical, is nice & wide for stability, I can jack up the entire front or rear end at once, very stable, very safe I think they're about $75

I was wondering what the pedal was for on some of those jacks.

I got the HF 2.5 ton jack for $74 today. that thing is a monster. lifted our accord with ease. I haven't tried it on the Tacoma yet. btw do you guys keep the floor jack with the release valve open or closed when storing the jack?

I normally keep the release valve close for storing, but nothing is noted in the manual.
