I bought a used 2010 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Access cab in April 2016. Very low mileage at 26,000, owned by an older gentleman that traded up to a full 4 door version. It is a beautiful truck in great shape except for a great deal of frame rust. When I took it to a local body shop to ask what I could do to extend its life they pointed out holes in the frame. Thankfully I have not done anything as I just heard about the $3.4 billion settlement to replace frames. What do I do to request the replacement frame? Can a frame replacement be done maintaining its mechanical and structural integrity?
