265/75R16 Wildpeak AT3W, Softopper, Kicker speakers, shift knob, Ventvisors, Tint, Husky Weatherbeaters, Hondo Garage radio knobs. The to do list: Bilstein 6112/5160, 3 leaf add-a-leafs, lights, alu skid, PRP seat covers...
Looks about the same as my 2017. I'm near Pittsburgh. I'm planning to do a cleanup and touch up on my truck and the wife's 4runner in the spring. Living here, unless one is willing to go south, it is what it is. I wouldn't be concerned. I would just try to nip it in the butt sooner than later if you end up buying it.

I think it'll clean up well. Wire brush, rust encapsulator, and some FF.

I'm in Western PA. That's not perfect, but not bad for a used vehicle in this state.

IF you can get most of the surface rust to cleanup...like said pressure wash it good till it perfectly dry and fame is clean. I recently help a friend with a 2019 tacoma. We did this...the day we used rp-342 regular cosmoline on his truck while wearing some cheap hazmat suits to cover us up. Frame now appears like new. Should be good for a few years. Fluid film is fine, but it won't last more than a year before needing to do it again. Imo, although a few bucks more a can cosmoline will save a lot of labor down the road. These trucks are a pita without some sort of lift to work under.

Truck is fine, 5 or 6 cans of Fluid Film will take care of that rust20200809_095959.jpg

For a few more grand you can buy a new SR Tacoma, it does not have all the bells and whistles, I went through what you are doing and decided to buy new and glad I did. Right after I get my 2nd check up from Toyota I am making some phone calls to have the under earth sprayed with protective something. I do not know enough about what kind I will have sprayed. Hope to do this before winter. Good luck in your search
