From Baja to Moab

Bought my 2001 new in Scottsdale. After paying off the loan I started building a solid off-roader. Can't beat a Tacoma for medium off-roading. Never intended to go rock crawling as this was my daily driver (126K miles).

I drove my truck as a support vehicle in the Baja 1000 and the Baja 500. Crawled around Moab a few times with my son and also with the Cruise Moab guys/gals. Fun times.

We run a 3" lift on EMU front springs HD rear springs and Nitrocharger Sport heavy-duty front and rear shocks. You can see the bumpers on it. But you can't see the rear frame stiffening plates. The "adventure bar" isn't intended as a ROPS but is a good spot for the three antennas and sometimes above roof lights that I run.

The on-board ARB air compressor is used for front and rear ARB air lockers and for "airing-up" (real slowly) the Maxxis MT-762 Bighorn tires I run on more technical adventures.

Yikes, sorry about the "For Sale" sign! Might not be good form, but it is the best picture I have right now.

 

Nice, clean setup. Would love to see it with the Bighorns mounted up.
