    Hello,
Recently in an accident and wanted to see what people thought. The front wheel is kicked out and into the fender well and UCA. Steering wheel is also goofy, looks like the bag tried to go off but didn’t? Also had to force the door open to get out afterwards. What do you all
    think?

Welcome to TW. The biggest issue is if the frame was tweaked. Looking at the driver’s wheel, it very well may be tweaked. Bent frames are almost always a total loss. Take it to a quality body shop and have them look at it and see what the insurance adjuster says.

start the insurance process and look for recommendations on good collision centers.

So far we are up to $9k in damage, they said this was pre them taking off parts and hosting the truck in the air. Thoughts? Body shop think likely frame is ok but they don’t know yet, they also noted the the rear light isn’t working properly because of potential damage to harness, again they aren’t sure since truck has not been taken apart yet.

It really depends on the adjuster and your specific states totalling requirements are. Some states can total a vehicle at 10% damage/vehicle replacement cost, others are 100% damage/vehicle replacement cost.

I doubt the repair will be less than $15k.

In Illinois my insurance told me 75% and they told me that they have it valued around 17k-20k

Run it through Carvana and Car Max. Suspect it will come out higher than that, and you'll at least have some info to argue a higher valuation.

I’d be surprised that you haven’t bent something structural. The right wheel is straight and the left is point to the left. See what the body shop says when they get under it for a good look. At the end of the day, it’s up to the adjuster.

According to the tech prior to putting in on the rack and taking it apart they don’t think they will find anything on the frame, according to the email he sent me.

That’s true, part of me wants it to be fixed the other part of me is also ok if it gets totaled. I always thought my payments were high. I could always buy it back if they total it

EDIT: So the body shop called me Friday and said when they were welding the new apron in the truck caught fire and it now going to be totaled out.

Well, since the body shop was working on it and caused the fire, shouldn't they be shouldering some of the blame / cost for a replacement vehicle?
