Howdy - I have a couple questions that i was hoping someone could answer.

Just scheduled my paint replacement for my 2017 Tacoma, has anyone been through this process yet? Did it come back matching the paint of the rest of the truck?

I also am one of those unlucky folks to get the bed rails that make your skin itch when it makes contact with your skin (i.e hanging your arms over the bed when chatting, etc.). I live in AZ, so I'm sure its the heat causing something to happen with the fiber glass in the plastic. Does anyone have any good replacement options for that? maybe something 3rd party?

I want to convert my radio head unit so i can use apple car play, does anyone have an option that is easy to install and simple to use? I just want to get in the truck, fire it up, and connect my music via bluetooth. Basically exactly how it works today, but its apple carplay.

if you guys have any other basic suggestions, im all ears.

    thanks!

I wanted Carplay too, but in reality, our Entune does everything required to play bluetooth music without it.

Even comes with a single CD drive to boot!

There are a couple of kits that take over your head unit with a CarPlay instance running from an attached box. Reviews are somewhat positive from what I see, but it’s not going to be 100%. It’s certainly not going to replicate the experience of a head unit running it organically.

Other than that, your options are 2020+ OEM replacement, but that will be wired.

For wireless, your best bet is aftermarket.
