My 2015 Tacoma has recently developed the nasty habit of reading ghost touches on the touchscreen. It will activate the touchscreen in one specific area, either causing it to call somebody on my speed dial list or activating whatever I have set there. It actually happened really bad a couple of weeks ago when I was going to the dealer for some maintenance and they applied an update to the unit. It's worked fine since then until today coming back to work from lunch.

I have the stock Entune system, without Nav.

Has anybody heard of this issue or know of any fixes? I've tried to make sure the screen is clean and dry, and this happens on regular road driving (i.e. not bouncing around).

Any crud pushed under the corners of the screen?

i believe that's a sign the touch-pad is dying/failing.... either that, or you've got ghosts.

    Working on them
Try using the Busch & Lomb Eye glass cleaner on the entire screen because the touch screens are electrically conductive surface contact any type of oils from your fingers could be on the surface causing false signals, Second thing to do is very carefully run your fingers over the entire screen (it can be off when doing this) and see if you feel any indentations if so note where they are you may have to replace screen (Ouch!)
