GloveBox Light Install

So the other day i saw a post about a glove box light and got excited thinking i had one, well i checked and didnt and that made me want one. So i decided i would and id make my first write up on how to do it! Here we go:

Supplies needed:
Drill
Screw Light(pictures below)
I got them off ebay
zip tie or t-tap

Step 1: Empty glove box
Step 2: Push sides of glove box in so the glove box can fold downward like this,

Step 3: Unscrew the three screws with a 10mm socket that hold the inner glovebox in, the screws are in the back middle and top left and right corner:

Step 4: Disconnect the wiring harness from the Panel piece:

Step 5: Find a drill bit thats the same size as the thread of the screw on the light and drill a hole here and insert the light and tighten the nut down on the other side:

Step 6: Wire it up! I wired the ground to a ground under the dash to a screw and for the positive i wired and tapped it into the positive of the ash trey light so as long as that light is on the glovebox light comes on. I probably should of used some t taps to tap into the wire but i didnt have any so had to improvise. I just stuck the wire into the socket part and zip tied the wires together so it wouldnt come lose and come out:

Step 7: Put everything back together! Now for those nights you get pulled over and go to get insurance or for whatever other reason you need something in your glovebox youll have some lighting so you can see

 

Of course id have to have an issue on my first write up anyone know how to get all the pics on?
