Not much on the 07 yet. 18 is gone, but was a greata truck. TRD Pro grill, Gator FX3, Homelink mirror, Black out badges & exhaust tip, Remote start. Future TRD exhaust, skid plate.
    Hey,

I want better sound from my Tacoma access cab. I currently have a Eclipse AVN stereo and front Alpine S Drive component speakers and rear MBQuarts, but they just don't sound that good. I want a full, clear sound where I can hear all the nuances, not just a boom that rattles the windows.

The speakers are several years old, but are quality speakers, so I assume they are still good.

What are the best options? I currently have no amp and am driving the speakers from the Eclipse head unit, which I assume is a mistake.

Do I need to start from scratch, or can I fix what I have? I paid off the truck and want it to sound better.

Any advice, or links to something that makes sense to newbies?
    thanks,
    Michael S.

Amp and equalizer--Many do not like the equalizer--I do--adjust to you liking.
It is easy to adjust for different CD.s
I am running 1200w amp and 7 band equalizer--IT is GOOD for me--I like more midrange sound.
I am not familiar with your head unit--get one that has what you want. Money well spent.
