I'm missing work way lots, as in I'd rather be there.
This remodel job on the bathroom is sucking way lots.

I do have the shitter and shower functional.

The previous contractor for this place can eat a bag of dicks.

Understand shortcuts, but the route they went was much more work than just doing the frame work close to a normal fashion.

Rant over. Not to tease, but it is beer thirty and some.

    Sorry, carry on.

    KO out.

I rotate four times a month from nights to days. 12 hour shifts. My commute is only four miles one way. We have guys that commute 35 miles one way, I don't know how they do it. Windows down I guess. But we did have a guy fall asleep on the way home one morning. Damn near killed himself.

My old man does that. Works 6PM-6AM, 112 miles round trip, 4 days a week. I don't know how he does it.

What's even crazier is he used to do it in the Tacoma. I can't imagine how much of every paycheck went into filling the tank.

Every other day he'd have to gas up. Yeah huge bill. What does he drive now?

As soon as someone hears snow, they bang out since there’s a unique scenario where if the courts close, they get that day back as PTO. Our operation remains open.

Most people were out of time so they had to come to work, but now everyone has a years worth of time. It's start to burn a whole in peoples pockets. Every post has to be maned no matter what, so we have mandatory OT.

Same with us, they used to only give pto as compensation. Recent contract negotiations give us the time and a half $ instead. However since the new year and contract has gone into effect; nobody’s seen the cash for OT yet.

We are mandated to have 24/7 coverage but NO overtime. 3rd shift only has single person 4 nights a week. By policy we can not be at work if we are sick. If one of us calls in on one of those nights they will have to make a decision.
