Delay for time between runs?

 

No, delay between heating & cooling mode.

 

That should be pretty easy to do though shouldn’t it? Being where I am, there’s very very little times where you switch from heat to A/C.

 

Should be no problem. My “learning” T’stat had the wrong time from the factory. Took me & a very helpful 1 800 guy like an hour just to set the time but once everything got dialed in, it works great.

Had a Honeywell years ago 2 wires (heat only) worked great. It “learned” from the last 10 cycles. You tell it what temp you want, when you want and it did it. Always a warm bathroom at 4:00am!

 

By “learning” I mean it learned how long it took the house to warm up during a heating cycle. Then the next cycle it would start heating early enough to hit target temp at the specified time.

I’d love to get into the 3d printing or CAD assisted routers but those seem to be a little out of the budget to justify experimental use.

 

Update on the ecobee. Got it wired properly, turns out the emergency heat wire isn’t used and I had the heat pump energized on heat and not cool. All good and now time to tinker with the settings ​
