Rob I'm not sure how you do that cold stuff...I'm not sure if it's living where I live or just me but it affects me. I'm pretty sure I've seen lows in the upper 80 & low 90s at night in this neck of the woods. That's not the norm but...

Damn Tucker, haven't seen you on here much in a while. 41 in a row is OUT!!! Of course the $$$ would be schweet.

 

You really do adjust to it. And the whole dry cold thing is true. We lived in England (UK) for 7 yrs before coming here. Honestly had times there that were much worse than here. Upper 20's / Low 30's with high humidity / rain used to chill me to the bone. I can remember sitting in the house watching TV under a heavy quilt and wondering why I couldn't get warm. It seemed like it stayed damp there all the time.

I grew up in Virginia and my first assignment was in NC; I'm familiar with the South / Southeast heat and humidity.

 

Yea I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with myself now that I'll have days off. Nah just drilling for oil in north Dakota. Although it feels like a war zone at times.


Joe, yea I'm usually just lurking around. Yea put my pay towards a new icon setup.

Ya beat me to it Rob, I was wondering what kind of work he was doing...

So, how are you Rob?

 

I work on an IT help desk for a global multinational corporation. When I was hired last summer they were bringing the help desk back from outsourcing in India and we were slammed every night; but since Christmas it's been dead slow. Could probably get rid of half the people on the shift.

Ah well I'm not complaining.

Just finished second Load Plan for the night ... now the boredom sets in ...

 

Does that mean people's questions/problems weren't being solved when it was outsourced to India, and now ya'll have solved a lot of the problems.

That's a very interesting dynamic if it is a correct conclusion.
